Bonded Pairs

We often rescue pairs of beagles and even those that have lived together for years are not ‘bonded’. There is a special attachment between two beagles that make them bonded. Most hounds are pack animals and form an attachment with whoever is available for a little fun or a nap. The pairings are forever changing! When we have a bonded pair, they will be seen with each other most of the time. They can be seen exploring the yard, playing together, and sleeping together. Most can even be fed side by side in a kennel which is unheard of in the beagle world!

The Beagle Bungalow is an ideal place for these pairs to live. They can join in on group activities and get lots of loving with no rush to finding a forever home for them. We have found wonderful homes for Harlee & Halo, Sadie & Emma in addition to Sallie & Kallie! We currently have two sets of bonded pairs among our unsocialized pack. Cyrus is more attached than Levi so not sure they qualify but Eve & Dinah are the dynamic duo who are forever plotting on ways to escape the yard. They love their adventures but always head home in time to eat!
